COLUMBUS, Ohio — Saturday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium was a tale of two races for the Lorain Titans. Autumn Roberts posted the second-fastest 100-meter hurdles time of her career and did not advance. The Boys 4x200 relay ran their second fastest time of 1:28.44 and punched their ticket to Sunday's final. And Sunday morning brings another opportunity — senior Brajhia Phillips takes the shot put circle at 9:30 AM with a chance to earn All-Ohio honors of her own. The Titans aren't done yet.
Roberts — 15.24, Second-Best Ever
Autumn Roberts ran one of the best races of her life on Saturday — and it wasn't enough. The junior clocked a 15.24 in the Division I 100-meter hurdles prelim, the second-fastest mark she has ever posted, finishing 16th in a field of 18.
The cutline sat at 14.62. The top two finishers broke 13.60. This was one of the deepest hurdles fields Ohio has assembled, and Roberts ran her second-best time ever inside it; Unfortunately, it wasn't enough.

The Boys 4x200 relay did exactly what they needed to do. Jacob Ford, Jeramiah Daniels, Jazion Moore, and Donte Tinsley II ran a their 2nd best time of the year 1:28.44 to finish 8th in an 18-team field. Nine teams advanced.

Phillips — Shot Put Sunday at 9:30 AM
Before the relay even takes the track, senior Brajhia Phillips will open Sunday's competition in the Girls Shot Put at 9:30 AM. Phillips earned her state berth as an at-large qualifier after throwing 34 feet, 4 inches at Super-Regional R2 — a mark that ranked among the top throws statewide when the OHSAA finalized its selections.
