Booster Club meetings are held the first Thursday in Aug and the 2nd Thursday every month Sept-May (no meetings in June & July) at the Elk’s Lodge at 7:00pm.
Jim Popiel Foundation
Few people have done more to promote and spotlight the accomplishments of Lorain’s student-athletes than Jim Popiel. During his career as a teacher, announcer and statistician at Admiral King High School, and while working on the radio for WEOL and WOBL/WDLW, Jim has encouraged student–athletes, touted their accomplishments and kept the Lorain County community informed about those students for over 50 years. In an effort to recognize and honor the contributions of Jim Popiel, the Lorain High Sports Booster Club has decided to create the Jim Popiel Scholarship Fund.
