LORAIN, Ohio — It was a good afternoon to be a Titan.

When the OHSAA announced its final list of state championship participants on Sunday, Lorain was delighted to learn that senior Brajhia Phillips and the Boys 4x200 relay team of Jazion Moore, Donte Tinsley II, Jacob Ford, and Jeramiah Daniels had each earned at-large berths to the OHSAA Division I State Championships June 6–7 in Columbus. The news completed a remarkable postseason run for the program and added five more Titans to a state roster that already included hurdler Autumn Roberts, who punched her automatic ticket on Saturday at North Royalton.

Three Events. One state meet. The program's biggest postseason moment in recent memory.

Roberts — The Automatic
Junior Autumn Roberts earned her state berth the hard way, finishing 4th in the Girls 100-meter hurdles final at Super-Regional R2 with a personal-best 15.10 — claiming the last automatic qualifying spot in a loaded field. Roberts set personal bests in both hurdle events across Thursday and Saturday, and her consistency under pressure is exactly what state-caliber performances are built on.

In Columbus, Roberts will compete in the Girls 100-meter hurdles semifinals on Saturday, June 6 at 10:00 AM at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The top eight finishers advance to Sunday's final, where Roberts will have a shot at standing on the biggest podium in Ohio high school track and field.

Phillips — The At-Large
Senior Brajhia Phillips threw the shot put 34 feet, 4 inches at Super-Regional R2 to finish 6th and earn a regional medal — and when the OHSAA finalized its at-large selections Sunday afternoon, that throw proved good enough to rank among the top marks statewide.

Phillips will open competition on Sunday, June 7 at 9:30 AM in the Girls Shot Put at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium — a fitting stage for a senior who has saved her best performances for the postseason.

The 4x200 Relay — The At-Large
The quartet of Jazion Moore, Donte Tinsley II, Jacob Ford, and Jeramiah Daniels ran 1:28.53 in Saturday's Super-Regional final to finish 6th — and when Sunday's announcement came down, their time had done exactly what the team hoped: it ranked among the next best marks statewide and secured one of the coveted at-large berths.

The relay will compete in the Boys 4x200 preliminary round on Saturday, June 6 at 10:42 AM at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, with the top eight teams advancing to Sunday's final. The group has run season bests in back-to-back postseason appearances, and they'll carry that momentum into Columbus with eyes on punching through to Sunday.
