NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio — May 30, 2026 — Autumn Roberts made history for the Lorain Titans on Saturday, earning a trip to the OHSAA State Championships with a clutch performance in the girls 100-meter hurdles final. Meanwhile, Jazion Moore turned in the best 200-meter race of his career, just missing a state berth, and the boys 4x200 relay squad closed out the postseason with one of their strongest showings of the year.

ROBERTS EARNS STATE BID IN 100 HURDLES
After doubling into both hurdles finals on Thursday with back-to-back personal bests, Autumn Roberts delivered when it mattered most. The junior crossed the line in 15.10 in the girls 100-meter hurdles final — another personal best — to finish 4th and punch her ticket to the OHSAA State Championships on June 6–7 in Columbus. The top four finishers advanced to state, and Roberts claimed the final qualifying spot, capping one of the most impressive individual postseason runs in recent Lorain track and field history.

In the 300-meter hurdles final, Roberts competed in a second event the same day, finishing 6th with a time of 47.45. Competing in two grueling hurdle finals on the same afternoon and earning a state berth in one of them is a testament to how far Roberts has come this season.

MOORE SETS PERSONAL BEST, JUST MISSES STATE
Junior Jazion Moore ran the race of his life on Saturday, posting a personal best of 22.02 in the boys 200-meter dash final to finish 5th. The top four finishers advanced to Columbus, and Moore fell just outside that cut by less than a tenth of a second. The 22.02 is a new personal best for Moore and a remarkable effort in one of the deepest sprint finals in the region. He leaves North Royalton with his head held high and plenty to build on heading into his senior season.

RELAY SQUAD CLOSES WITH THIRD-BEST TIME OF THE YEAR
The boys 4x200 relay team of Jacob Ford, Donte Tinsley II, Jazion Moore, and Jeramiah Daniels capped their postseason run with a 6th-place finish in Saturday's final, clocking 1:28.53 — the third-best time the group has posted all season. It was a fitting close to a strong postseason run for a squad that grew together over the course of the year.
