Coach Hopewell  has been a longtime Sprints/ Relay Coach within the Lorain Track program, coaching on various levels , Jr. High and as a Varsity Assistant. Coach Hopewell enters his second full season as the Head Track Coach of  the Lorain Boy's Program. Coach Hopewell has guided several  Regional and State Qualifiers in Open events and as well as relays. In 2016 Coach Hopewell coached the State Champion in the 100m Dash and had several relay teams qualify for the 2017 State Championship in the Boy's 4x100 and 4x200 Relay.

Coach Hopewell has a Master's Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University and B.A. in History from Baldwin -Wallace University. Coach Hopewell  works in Lorain City Schools as a Wellness Coach. As well as serving as the Head Track Coach, Hopewell also coaches Cross Country for the Jr. High Program at Southview Middle School.Coach Hopewell resides in Lorain with his wife Liana.
